Tenji once had bestfriends(2 people) who are also smart like him, and one day, they considered that "we should start a company" because Tenji proposed making a company, and for that, the 3 friends started gathering money, and they joined the money together and had a few million yen, at first it was going well, but then, they met Shiho (this all happened before the series, it was just a flashback of Tenji, it will be told before game 3)

And so, they saw Tenji casually taking to Shiho and became jealous, so one(or both of them) stole money from their savings, making it half, and Tenji aske them why the money became half, and







a lot more happened but all i remember is Tenji explained that Shiho and him are just childhood friends and he doesn't like shiho, so they believed and started saving money again until


spoiler>one of them thought of an idea, they said, why don't we just save the money seperately, and the one with the most money has the right to (propose/ask her out) to Shiho, but then Tenji argued that why would they do that if its for the company, they shouldnt be competing for shiho, but then the friends said "didn't you tell us that you don't like shiho? or are you actually lying?" so then Tenji just shut uped, and after that, the friends' money started getting bigger and bigger even faster than when they started saving when joined. and one day, Tenji was kidnapped and taken to the tomodachi game with his 2 friends and turns out the 2 friends actually just want to propose to shiho, and not interested with the company and they went and had too much debt so they betrayed tenji and dumped all their debt to him

and as for why Tenji want's revenge to shiho

When Tenji was released from tomodachi game, he told his father about it, and his father started investigating, and went to shiho's dad and then Tenjis father died after that, and Shiho's father said "its suicide" And tenji knows his dad would never suicide so he became suspicious of the dad and shiho
